Now that Swiss Days is over, don’t put away your lederhosen and dirndl dresses just yet! Join us for the First Annual Midway Volksmarch, a fundraising walk for trails and open space on Saturday, September 21. A Volksmarch is a festive non-competitive community walk along a designated 5k or 10k route. The Volksmarch route will walk past Midway's historic homes and barns with signage explaining their history then up Memorial Hill and back down to Town Square for a party in the park. This year's Volksmarch will honor artist Robert Duncan for his contributions to Midway's rural preservation efforts.

Participants will meet in Midway Town Square by the Ice Rink and can walk anytime between 9:00 am and noon on Saturday, September 21. The party will end at 2:00. Preregistration is highly encouraged. To pre-register, buy walking sticks or posters, or for questions please visit puremidway.org. Bring your friends and family and start a new tradition with the Midway Volksmarch!

Tap into your inner stillness during our Horse Meditation Circle to open to your wisdom and intuition. We will explore embodied presence surrounded by a herd of horses which presence can transport us to the place of pure potentiality within. Horses, by their very nature, touch our spirits with their beauty, freedom, courage, power and heart.

Participants can expect to discover a refreshingly new relationship between horse and human, where the horse becomes a teacher and facilitator. The kinds of activities and methods in which the activities are completed, result in metaphors for reflection, contemplation, and discussion.

Participants of “Community Horse Meditation Circle” will be given a 20% Off Coupon to use at State Road Tavern & Restaurant.
