Event Details

The Round Valley Rambler offers two distances, 7K or a trail half marathon. The half marathon distance is the first race in the Triple Trail Challenge. The course takes place on buff single and double track trails within the 2,100 acre, Round Valley Open Space, with altitude ranging from 6,500 to 7,100 feet. While athletes will find the trails foot-friendly, the rolling, high-desert terrain presents a few long and steady climbs followed by fast downhills. The Round Valley Rambler is a stout trail half and serves as a reality check for athletes preparing for the Triple Trail Challenge sister races, the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase and the Mid Mountain Marathon.

Mountain Trails FoundationMountain Trails Foundation is a member-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to building, maintaining and protecting trails for non-motorized recreation in the Park City area. Creating and maintaining a seamless, year-round trail system is a monumental undertaking. Mountain Trails works closely with Park City Municipal (the City), Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District (Basin Rec), Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort. Work done by these organizations, along with efforts from open-space advocates such as Summit Land Conservancy, have created one of the most extensive, continuous trail systems in the nation.435-640-1168 ginger@mountaintrails.org
